SmartDO 2024.2 Released, Unveils AI-Powered Next-Level Design Optimization with Universal SmartLink, SmartLink for FloTHERM, Enhanced API and Scripting with Python Integration and More

Zhunan, Taiwan – August 22, 2024 – FEA-Opt Technology Co. Ltd. is thrilled to announce the release of SmartDO 2024.2, the latest version of our cutting-edge design optimization software. This update introduces powerful new features that enhance the flexibility, scalability, and efficiency of design optimization processes across various industries.

Universal SmartLink

SmartDO 2024.2 introduces Universal SmartLink, a game-changing feature that allows users to link multiple models created by Universal Connections or SmartLink seamlessly. This functionality simplifies the combination of design variables, objectives, and constraints across different models, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient optimization process.

SmartLink for FloTHERM

Expanding our integration capabilities, SmartDO now supports direct linking with FloTHERM. This enables users to define and optimize design variables, objectives, and constraints using the same interface, enhancing the compatibility and ease of use for thermal simulation and analysis.

JMAG Motor Post-Winding Optimization

SmartDO 2024.2 offers a whole new solution for post-winding optimization in motor design using JMAG. The enhanced workflow includes optimized result calculation and direct integration with JMAG models, ensuring that manufacturing conditions and limitations are accurately considered during the optimization process.

Enhanced Results Collection and Backup

With the new "Plot/Post" feature, SmartDO 2024.2 simplifies result management by automatically collecting optimization results into a designated directory. The "Backup Results" feature ensures data integrity by creating timestamped copies of results for easy retrieval and audit.

Advanced Plotting Capabilities

The plotting functionality in SmartDO 2024.2 has been significantly upgraded. Users can now generate more detailed and informative plots, displaying critical figures such as design history and normalized design variable changes simultaneously on the canvas.

Enhanced API and Scripting with Python Integration

The API and scripting capabilities have been further enhanced, allowing users to integrate Python more effectively within their SmartDO environment. This update supports the use of Python for extending SmartDO's functionality, including machine learning and AI-driven optimizations. Through SmartDO's unique technology, the newly added Python integration allows for seamless data and process connectivity with SmartDO's existing Tcl/tk environment. Users can also choose to use the Python pre-installed with SmartDO or their own Python installation.
